The first LAIMA exhibition, entitled RAIMONDS, brings together 21 members of the Staprāns family across four generations. Each portrait is shaped by a unique combination of smiles, brainwaves, favorite music, cherished memories, and an AI-assisted artistic process inspired by the visual language of Raimonds Staprāns. The exhibition explores how the intersection of neuroscience and art can deepen our understanding of one another and our shared happiness.

A Family Through the Generations

The Staprāns family story is one of resilience, culture, and deep connection. By featuring 21 family members, the exhibition RAIMONDS creates a visual genealogy that spans from those who remember independent Latvia to the youngest generation growing up in a digital world. These portraits serve as a bridge between the past and the future.

An Artistic Conversation

At the heart of the exhibition is a dialogue between human emotion and technological interpretation. The artistic process is deeply inspired by the visual language of Raimonds Staprāns—his use of color, light, and architectural structure. By translating neurological data into these specific aesthetic parameters, the portraits become more than data visualizations; they are a contemporary extension of a historical artistic legacy.
